How to Install eclipse software package in Debian 8 (Jessie)

eclipse software package provides Extensible Tool Platform and Java IDE, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install eclipse

eclipse is installed in your system.

Make ensure the eclipse package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep eclipse *

You will get with eclipse package name, version, architecture and description in a table
